ANTHNONY GREEN AkA Shanti Ruben
Being a singer has always been a vision for Anthony Green and now it has become a reality.
Anthony Stanford Green was born March 21, 1974 in Kington the parish of St. Andrew. Grew up in
Cockburn Pen, Kingston and attended St. Judes Primary School. In 1986 he was awarded a Track
scholarship to Camperdown High School. At Camperdown Mr. Green was one of the track star and gain
the opportunity to travel few times with his team to America.
At the age of nine 9 Anthony discovered his love for singing was getting stronger and so his friends
would keep a stage show in his community on Saturdays. The whole community would turn out to this
event, while trying to remember when it was his time to sing. All those who were present would be
saying there goes the real singer; this motivated and inspired him. During high school he would enter
singing contests and was always called upon to perform at all school events. He was encouraged by his
community, classmates and teachers to make singing a career choice.
In 1989 Anthony began writing and singing a few songs. His first big break came in 1990 when he was
invited to be on a stage show in the parish of St. Elizabeth; he shared the stage with the artiste Charlie
Chaplin. He got the chance to show his talent to the people and their response was overwhelming.
Anthony have since then, none stop working recording and performing. In 2009 Anthony was invited to
appear on TVJ Morning Time show with Simon and Neville where he performed his new single
Unstoppable, in a sing off and came out the winner with from Simon regarding his singing ability,
performance and presentation. He has also performed at the Escape night Club for CVM Spots Club.
He released the single by the name of I’ve Got a Girl, recorded by Seaspring Production and also the
video for this single. He got absolutely great feedback on it which has helped him in moving on to
recording more songs.
Mr. Green had the experience of being in the presence and worked with many of Jamaican icon in
reggae music, such as Sugar Minott, Errol Dunkley, Admiral Tibet, Horace Andy, and the artist Determine
and many more. He has also performed on stage with Capleton, Admiral titbit Yogi aka Courtney John,
and Sizzla just to name a few. Mr. Green has also appeared in videos for artist like Determine, Keke I,
and Lenky Roy. He has done 35 songs for Joe Gigs and one single out of the 35 was released titled
“cannot be trusted”. Also done three albums for Sugar Minot still to be release, and has done album for
Lloyd Barns. Mr. Green has worked with labels like Top Secret and seaspring production.
Mr. Green has been taking his music to the next level. He is reaching out to the world in a mighty way,
by ways of constant air play on local and international radio stations. He has also been on many
interviews, from Canada, America, the UK, Africa and the Caribbean, also locally.
Mr. Green is now writing and producing a lot more cultural music that deals with the realities of life.
Anthony considers himself an easygoing, humble and a loving person. His music teaches about life. One
of the things he really likes to do is to reason with the youths, educates them about themselves and
encouraging them for greatness. Also teaching them about the music and writing lyrics.

Raised in Spanish Town until the age of 19, Jahzarro later moved to Drews Land and Waterhouse, where he developed a close friendship and creative partnership with fellow artist Raga Z. Together, they made a significant impact on the global reggae scene, earning acclaim for their authentic sound and powerful performances.

Jahzarro has performed at major venues such as the Emancipation Nation Arena in Kingston and has been featured in prominent Jamaican media, including the Jamaican Observer.

In 2019, Jahzarro launched his own record label, Carvel Records, marking a new chapter in his career. He also joined the influential indie platform Miami Musik Buzz (MMB Indie Radio), where he has consistently climbed the charts with popular releases like “Desert,” “Nuh Mistake,” “In The Streets” featuring Karen Brown, “Nah Give Up,” and “Take Off Your Mask.”

Jahzarro continues to be a vital force in reggae music, blending traditional roots with contemporary vibes to inspire audiences worldwide.
